How to use it
- Type the item price and the shipping the buyer pays.
- Type your cost for the item, the packaging and the label if you ship it yourself.
- Turn on boost if the sale came from a boosted listing.
- Read the fees, the payout and the profit.
How Depop charges US sellers
Depop does not charge a selling fee to sellers in the United States. You still pay a payment processing fee on each sale, made of a percentage and a fixed amount on the total the buyer pays. Buyers pay their own marketplace fee at checkout, which does not come out of your earnings.
- Payment processing: charged on every sale, on the order total including shipping.
- Boosted listings: if you boost a listing and it sells through the boost, Depop charges a percentage of that sale.
The current rates are in the table above, with the date they were checked and the source.
Boosting changes the math a lot. Before boosting a low-margin item, run the price with the boost on and check the profit is still worth it.
What the calculator does not know
- Sales outside the United States, where Depop's fees are different.
- Refunds, returns and disputes.
- Differences between the label you choose and the real package weight.
